Chinese White was introduced in 1834 as a whiter, brighter replacement for the toxic Lead White. Grumbacher Academy Watercolor Paint - Chinese White uses the modern, high chroma Titanium Dioxide pigment. Academy Watercolor is a collegiate line of 60 paints at an affordable price. Only finely ground pigments are used in making this smooth, rich paint. Either straight from the tube or when mixed with white, strokes and washes are vibrant and luminescent.
